Birds of a feather flock together.
Whilst you’ll enjoy a completely independent lifestyle at Hillside, being apartments, you’ll also enjoy a real sense of community as well. Especially given the abundance of shared facilities that encourage you to come out and socialise with the neighbours.
For example, there’s a common room with a big-screen TV and DVD player as well as a pool table. (There’s always a jigsaw puzzle set up on one table for everyone to have a go at solving.) You’ve got a library, if you’re short on reading material. Downstairs, there’s a workshop for the handymen to congregate in and put their hands to something useful, as well as a vegie patch to grow your own.
We’ve got a barbecue and picnic area for you to share a bite, and a walking trail so you can then stroll it off after lunch. And if you want to go on an outing, there’s a community bus as well as one that’s owned by Masonic Homes. There’s also a whole range of additional services that our residents can opt to enjoy, like cleaning or having meals prepared, and more.
We’ll keep you under our wing.
Masonic Homes is a not-for-profit organisation that’s been providing retirement living and aged care across South Australia and the Northern Territory for nearly 50 years. Although, as the name suggests, we do have historical links to freemasonry, anyone is welcome to join us at Hillside.
Because we’re not-for-profit, we have a range of services that goes beyond what most retirement villages offer, including a complimentary initial health-assessment and the help of professional picture hangers for two hours free of charge when you first move in, to make you feel immediately right at home. Of course, there’s also the reassurance of having our associated Hillside Lodge aged-care facility right next-door, in case you or your partner become too ill to live independently.
